Jay B. Nash Outstanding Major

Closing Date: April 15 2008
This award is given to one male & one female undergraduate student for outstanding performance relevant to their preparation for the profession in the areas of Health, Physical Education, Recreation or Dance. These recipients will represent NYS AHPERD at the Eastern District Association conference. The award also includes $750.00 support for graduate study, membership & conference registration fees for NYS AHPERD are waived for two years. These nominations are generated from College & University Department Chairs.

NAGWS "Pathfinder" Award:

The National Association for Girls and Women in Sports Award honors an individual who advocates, recruits, and enhances opportunities for girls and women in sports and sport leadership. New York selects a recipient who is then recognized and honored at the AAHPERD national convention the following spring. Application process. February deadline.
