Voting for our NYS AHPERD 2026 Leadership Elections is open! If you have not already voted, we hope you will do so. Remember, you may only vote once. Duplicate votes from your member number will disqualify all of your votes.


Members will vote on candidates for the following positions:

  • President-Elect
  • Two Board of Director seats


Voting Deadline: February 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET

Voting is a 3-Step Process

  • How can I vote for NYS AHPERD officers?
    • Every eligible voter will receive an email notification prior to the opening of voting on how to access the ballot. Reminder notices will be sent before the election ends.
    • Eligible voters are current professionals and retirees members, plus the two Future Professional representatives.
    • Members who have not provided an email will receive a paper ballot mailed to the address on file.
  • How long do I have to vote?
    • Eligible voters will be able to cast ballots until 11:59 p.m. ET on February 28, 2026.
  • How can I learn about each candidate for office?
    • Click the bio button to learn more about each candidate.
  • I have elected to opt out of emails. Will I be able to vote?
    • If you opted out of NYS AHPERD emails, you would not have received the notice.
    • Any eligible voter is able to vote by the email link or on the website.
  • I didn’t receive a ballot. Can I receive one now?
    • First, please check your email in case the notice is in your Spam folder.
    • If you would like to opt into NYS AHPERD emails or have other questions, please call the Central Office at 315-823-1015 or email nysahperd@nysahperd.org.
  • When will the election results be announced?
    • Watch your email in early March for the announcement of our newly elected officers.

2026 Election Timeline

  • January 30: Candidates are presented to the Executive Council for approval.
  • February 11: Voting opens. Eligible members will receive email instructions on how to cast their ballot. Members who have not provided an email will receive a paper ballot mailed to the address on file.
  • February 28: Voting ends – 11:59 p.m. (ET)
  • March 2026: Newly elected officers wiall be announced.
