Nominees must

• Be selected as their institution’s Departmental Major of the Year;
• Be a current member of NYS AHPERD;
• Be an undergraduate second semester junior or a first semester senior with an overall GPA of 3.0 or above. This means the applicant will graduate in either December or May following the conference in which they receive the award;
• Be majoring in the disciplines of health education, physical education, exercise
• science, recreation, or dance;
